List of Top 10 Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 5% on Monday, January 31

Today, the Indian market closed up with a green mark. BSE Realty is the top gainer whereas, BSE Metal was the top loser.

On the first trading of the week, ahead of the Union Budget presentation tomorrow, the Indian equity market closed up with a green mark. Besides, all the sectoral indices closed on a positive note except one. 

In today’s trade, Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed up by 237.90 points i.e., 1.39% and 813.94 points i.e., 1.42%, respectively. Stocks that supported BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 to pull the index up were Reliance Industries Ltd, Infosys Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd and Bajaj Finance Ltd. Whereas, stocks that dragged BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd, IndusInd Bank Ltd, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened up by 1.16% and 1.13%, respectively from the previous close.

On a sectoral basis, S&P BSE Realty, S&P BSE Information Technology, S&P BSE TECk, S&P BSE Consumer Durables and S&P BSE PSU were the top gainers. BSE Realty consisting of stocks such as Brigade Enterprises Ltd, Godrej Properties Ltd, Phoenix Mills Ltd, DLF Ltd, Oberoi Realty Ltd and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd led the pack.

In Monday's trading session only one sectoral index closed down namely S&P BSE Metal. The Metal index consisting of stocks such as Vedanta Ltd, Coal India Ltd and Hindalco Industries Ltd were the top drags.
