The metal sector is shining among the entire index with domestic benchmark indices traded higher.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 118.95 points or 0.19% at 62,412.58, and the Nifty trading up by 39.65 points or 0.21% at 18,552.40. About 2,191 shares have advanced, 1,135 declined, and 162 are unchanged.
The top Sensex gainers were Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints and Reliance Industries whereas the top Sensex losers were State Bank of India, Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

On the sectoral front, BSE Oil and Gas Index was shining among the sector while BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. BSE Oil & Gas Index soared 1.62% led by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and India Oil Corporation whereas BSE Metals Index plunged 1.40% dragged by JSW Steel and Jindal Steel.
