The domestic equity benchmarks had a strong session on Tuesday and closed near the day's high.
The Nifty was able to surpass the 17,250-point threshold and stage a fantastic recovery from its previous close of 16,887.35. The leading sectors for shares to advance were metals, banks, and IT. According to preliminary closing statistics, the S&P BSE Sensex, the barometer index, increased by 1276.66 points or 2.25% to 58,065.47. To reach 17,274.30, the Nifty 50 index gained 386.95 points or 2.29%.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index increased 1.49%, while the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index increased 2.42% in the overall market. On the BSE 2,582 shares increased and 863 shares decreased and 119 shares in total remained unchanged. A falling trend in the dollar index (DXY) and the yields on US 10-year bonds encouraged investors. If this trend continues, there may be a significant re-entry of FIIs into the Indian markets. While DIIs bought equities for Rs 14,119.75 crore during the period under review, FIIs sold shares worth Rs 18,308.30 in September on the cash market.
Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services increased by 11.50%. The NBFC reported disbursement of over Rs 4,080 crore in September 2022, representing a rise of 110% year over year (YoY). Angel One increased by 12.70%. According to the brokerage firm, from 6.52 million clients in September 2021 to 11.57 million in September 2022, a 77.4% increase. Easy Trip Planners saw a growth of 6.32%. On October 10, 2022, the company's board will reportedly discuss a proposal to expand authorised share capital through the issuance of bonus equity shares and/or a stock split.
The Dow Jones futures gained 388 points, signalling a bullish start to today's trading on the US stock market. Following an overnight increase in Wall Street market prices, shares in Europe increased while Asian stocks fluctuated on Tuesday. Due to Dussehra festival, the Indian stock market will be closed for trading tomorrow on October 5, 2022.
