Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on April 13, 2022
At 12.45 pm on Wednesday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower amidst weaker Q4 result updates and rising geopolitical tensions.
The Sensex was at 58,424.01, down by 152.36 points or 0.26%, and the Nifty was at 17,492.55, down by 37.75 points or 0.22%.
The top gainers in the Sensex pack are Bajaj Finance, SBI, Sun Pharmaceuticals, IndusInd Bank, and NTPC. Whereas, the top losers were Asian Paints, Power Grid Corporation of India, HDFC, HDFC Bank, and DR Reddy’s Laboratories.
The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 30,878.85 and is up by 0.24%. The top three gainers of the index are Hindustan Zinc, Indian Hotels Company, and Deepak Nitrite. Each of these scrips was up by more than 3%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index include JSW Energy, Trent, and Fortis Healthcare.
The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,784.35 down by 0.62%. The top 3 gainers of the index are Vakrangee, Aegis Logistics, and Avanti Feeds. Each of these scrips was up by more than 8%. The top stocks pulling the index down were Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders, Bharat Dynamics, and Balrampur Chini Mills.
On the sectoral front, only Nifty Financial Services, Media, Auto, and Private Bank were down, rest all the sectors were trading in the green.
