Penny Stocks Locked in the Upper Circuit on May 02, 2022

At 10:45 am on Monday, the benchmark equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading downwards amid weak global cues.
There was an unfavourable environment under the shadows of war, rising inflation and China's lockdowns. In the case of domestic indices, the Sensex was trading at 56,744.82, down by 0.56%, and the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,004.25, down by 0.57%.
The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were IndusInd Bank, UPL Ltd and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. Meanwhile, the top stocks pulling down the index were Wipro Ltd, Apollo Hospitals and State Bank of India.
BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 24,285.44, down by 0.54%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Bajaj Holdings and Investment Ltd, Crisil Ltd and Varun Beverages Ltd. The top three stocks dragging the index were Astral Ltd, Mindtree Ltd and Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Ltd. All of these stocks were down by more than 3%.
BSE Smallcap index was trading at 28,377.46, down by 0.82%. The top three gainers were Tata Chemicals, Future Consumer Ltd and Yaari Digital Integrated Services Ltd. Each of these stocks gained more than 7%. The top three stocks pulling the index down were Solara Active Pharma Sciences, RPG Life Sciences and ZEE Learn Ltd.
All of the sectoral indices were trading flat, whereas BSE Consumer Durables and BSE Information Technology were top losers.
