Following is the list of penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on Monday. Keep a close eye on these counters for the upcoming sessions.

At 11:00 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,237.70, plunged by 1.06%. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Auto Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd. On the other hand, top losers were Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Bank and Reliance Industries Ltd. The Nifty Bank was at the level of 34,146.80, down by 1.28%. The only bank which was trading in the green was Federal Bank (0.88%) and the most affected banks were IndusInd Bank, Bandhan Bank and Bank of Baroda.

Sensex was trading at a level of 54,169.17, tanking by 1.22%. Whereas, BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,788.17, down by 1.48%. BSE Smallcap index fell by 1.58% and was trading at a level of 26,663.77. The top performers of Sensex were Bajaj Finserv, HCL Technologies and Power Grid Corporation of India. Stocks pulling down the index were Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Bank and Reliance Industries Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all of the indices were trading in red except BSE Telecom. BSE Metals, BSE Energy and BSE Power were the most affected sectors.

The Indian Rupee also touched a record low point as it was trading at 77.28 against a dollar. Uncertainties about the Russia–Ukraine war, high crude oil prices and a twenty-year high US Dollar index were some of the challenges for the Indian Rupee.
