Overnight, the Wall Street indices seesawed amid mixed global cues. Benchmark indicators S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.13% and 0.33%, respectively, while Nasdaq composite added 0.06% to the level of 11,370.96.

Considering Asian markets, all of the indices were trading in green territory with Nikkei 225 and Hang Seng being top performers. SGX Nifty indicated a positive opening with a gain of 170 points. With the same impact, Sensex and Nifty 50 were also trading upwards.

At 11:15 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at the 15,999.65 level, up by 1.21%. The top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack were Tata Motors Ltd, Titan Company Ltd and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. On the other hand, top losers were NTPC Ltd, Bharti Airtel and Hindalco Industries. Nifty Bank was at the level of 33,753.85, jumped by 0.66%. The top performers were Bandhan Bank, AU Small Finance Bank and Punjab National Bank. Only ICICI Bank was trading downwards.

Sensex was trading at a level of 53,489.91, up by 1.06%. Whereas, BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,147.78, jumped by 2.32%. BSE Smallcap index rose by 2.25% and was trading at a level of 25,557.83. The top performers of Sensex were Titan Company Ltd, Mahindra and Mahindra and Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd. And, stocks pulling down the index were NTPC Ltd, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank.

On the sectoral front, all of the indices were trading in green, with BSE Industrials and BSE Auto as top performers. BSE Telecom was the only sectoral index which was trading downwards by 0.48%.
