Stock Market Outlook for May 28:

  • Flat-to-Positive Start Likely: The Nifty opened marginally higher at 24,832, tracking firm U.S. markets where the Nasdaq surged 2.47% and the Dow gained 1.78%. However, a slight dip in Gift Nifty (-0.22%) signals a potential cautious sentiment at higher levels.
  • Options Data Suggests Limited Upside: With Nifty and Bank Nifty Max Pain levels at 24,800 and 55,300 respectively, and low PCRs (Nifty: 0.73, Bank Nifty: 0.84), the derivatives setup potentially indicates limited upside and potential for range-bound trade.
  • Mixed Global and Sectoral Signals: Asian markets are trading mixed, crude prices are steady, and U.S. bond yields remain elevated. Strong FII inflows (+₹10,104.7 crore) may support sentiment, but broader cues suggest a stock-specific day ahead.
