Nifty Midcap 100 index is up by 0.78%, outperforming broader markets.

At 2:40 PM, Indian equity indices Nifty 50 and Sensex are trading in the red territory at 17,487.7 and 58,706 levels, down by 0.17% each.

Asian Paints, Grasim, Mahindra and Mahindra, SBI Life Insurance and BPCL are top gainers of the Nifty 50 index. While Titan company, Divis Laboratories, Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) and Tata Consumer Products are top losers.

Nifty Bank index is trading flat at 37,049.7, down by merely 26.70 points i.e. 0.08%. IDFC First Bank is the top gainer, up by 6%. Other top gainers include Punjab National Bank, Federal Bank, State Bank of India and ICICI Bank. Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, AU Small Finance Bank and RBL Bank are among the top losers putting a drag on the index.

Nifty Midcap 100 index is up by 0.78%, outperforming broader markets. IDFC First Bank, Union Bank, Bank of India and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals are stocks providing a fillip to the index. Oil India, Power Finance Corporation, CESC, Dhani Services, Whirlpool of India and PI Industries are the top losers of the index.

Similarly, Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading in the green with gains of 92.90 points i.e. 0.83%. TV18 Broadcast, Indian Energy Exchange, Bajaj Electric, APL Apollo Tubes and NBCC (India) are top gainers. Whereas, the top losers of the index are  BEML, Tanla Platforms, Firstsource Solutions, Radico Khaitan, Route Mobile and Lux Industries.
