The Indian benchmark indices were trading flat with BSE Power Index shining among all the sectoral indices. 

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 46 points or 0.08% at 60,461.45, and the Nifty trading down by 1 point or 0.0017% at 17,764.30.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and State Bank of India were the top Sensex gainers today, while Tata Steel, ITC Ltd and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded in a negative manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 1.58% and the BSE Small-cap index falling by 1.19%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Clean Science and Technology Ltd and Supreme India Lts, while the top small-cap gainers were Karnataka Bank Ltd and Aegis Logistics Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Power Index leading the gainers and the BSE Metals Index leading the losers today. The BSE Power Index increased by 1.06%, led by Adani Transmission and Adani Green Energy Ltd while the BSE Metals Index fell by 2.18%, dragged down by Hindalco Industries Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd.
