The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Bankex Index being the top-gaining sector, whereas BSE Realty Index was the top-losing sector. 

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 264 points or 0.42% at 61,825 and the Nifty trading down by 65 points or 0.32% at 18,239.  

About 1,952 shares have advanced, 1,320 have declined and 150 were unchanged on BSE. 

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors and Infosys were the top Sensex gainers today, while Tata Steel, Asian Paints and Power Grid Corporation of India were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a lower manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index down by 0.20% and the BSE Small-cap index down by 0.15%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Ramco Cements and Sona BLW Forgings Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Aurionpro Solutions and Hindustan Constructions Co Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE IT Index leading the gainers and BSE Power Index being the losing sector. The BSE IT Index soared by 1.50%, led by Aurionpro Solutions and Cigniti Technologies whereas BSE Power Index plunged by 1.05% dragged down by Adani Transmission and Adani Power. 

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: KEC International Ltd, Nazara Technologies Ltd and G R Infraprojects Ltd.
