The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Consumer Durables Index shining among all the sectoral indices, up by 1.41%. 

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 320 points or 0.55% at 57,944.88, and the Nifty trading up by 81 points or 0.47% at 17,068.95. 

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Bajaj Finance and Reliance Industries were the top Sensex gainers today, while ITC, Tech Mahindra and Power Grid Corporation of India were the top Sensex loser. 

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index surging by 0.37% and the BSE Small-cap index surging by 0.60%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are IDBI Bank and Indraprastha Gas, while the top small-cap gainers were Valiant Organics and Mangalam Organics.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Consumer Durables Index leading the gainers and BSE Metals Index leading the losers. The BSE Consumer Durables Index soared by 1.41%, led by Titan India and Dixon Technologies while the BSE IT Index plunged by 0.48%, dragged down by L&T Technology Services and Persistent Systems.
