The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Power Index being the top gaining sectoral indices and BSE Consumer Durables being the top loser.

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 115 points or 0.20% at 60,180 and the Nifty trading up by 44 points or 0.24% at 17,786.

About 1,990 shares have advanced, 1,312 have declined and 127 were unchanged on BSE.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and State Bank of India were the top Sensex gainers today, while HDFC Bank, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Tech Mahindra were the top Sensex loser. 

The indices traded in a lower manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index down by 0.14% and the BSE Small-cap index down by 0.53%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are ABB Ltd and SJVNJ, while the top small-cap gainers were JSW Holdings and Trucap Finance.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Power Index leading the gainers and BSE Consumer Durables Index leading the losers. The BSE Power Index soared by 1%, led by Adani Power and Adani Green Energy and whereas BSE Consumer Durables Index plunged by 1% dragged down by Blue Star and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Mirza International, Zydus Lifescience and H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd.
