Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, has delivered multibagger returns to its shareholders in the last two years. During this period, the company’s share price jumped from Rs 149.15 on 02 December 2020 to Rs 800.85 on 02 December 2022, an increase of 437% in the two-year holding period.

An investment of Rs 1 lakh in the shares of this company two years ago would have turned to Rs 5.37 lakh today.

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd (DFPCL) is among India’s leading producers of fertilisers and industrial chemicals. It specializes in manufacturing high-quality chemicals that surpass domestic and international quality standards. The chemicals manufactured can be customized for specific industries and precise applications, thus providing solutions to cater to the exact requirements of its customers. The products cater to various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, drugs and dye intermediates, refining of precious metals, defence, resin, textile, and fertiliser among others.

In the recent quarter Q2FY23, on a consolidated basis, the company’s net revenue increased by 51.66% YoY to Rs 2719.32 crore. Similarly, the bottom line increased by 195% YoY to Rs 275.59 crore.

The company is currently trading at a (consolidated) TTM PE of 8.7x against the industry PE of 9.5x. In FY22, the company delivered an ROE & ROCE of 20.80% and 19.9%, respectively. The company is a constituent of Group A stocks and commands a market capitalization of Rs 10,143.21 crore.

Today, the scrip opened at Rs 804.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs 808.10 and Rs 798.90, respectively. So far _ shares have been traded on the bourses.

At 12.14 pm, the shares of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd were trading at Rs 801.40, an increase of 0.07% from the previous day’s closing price of Rs 800.85 on BSE. The stock has a 52-week high & low of Rs 1,061.70 and Rs 355.55, respectively on BSE.
