Top 10 Penny Stocks Gainers Today - April 04, 2022

In the biggest-ever corporate merger in India, HDFC will merge with HDFC Bank to create a banking behemoth. Market took this news positively and lifted the sentiment in the equity market. Nifty 50 closed in green in today's trade with a gain of 382.95 points. It opened at 17809.10 against the previous close of 17670.45, which means a gap up of 138.65 points.

In today’s trade the best performing index was NIFTY FINANCIAL SERVICES it was up by 4.64% primarily due to a gain in HDFC twins. This is followed by NIFTY BANK, which was up by 4%. The worst-performing index in today's trade was NIFTY IT. It was up by 0.27%. Out of the total 10.0 companies forming part of the index, 2.0 companies closed in red, and 8.0 closed in green.

Companies that supported Nifty 50 in today’s trade were 'HDFC Bank', 'HDFC', 'ICICI Bank', 'Adani Ports' and 'Kotak Mahindra' together they contributed around 271.38 points gain in index. While the companies that dragged the index were 'Coal India', 'ONGC', 'TATA Cons. Prod', 'Titan Company' and 'Infosys'. These companies contributed 16.39 points towards the fall of Nifty 50

Overall market today was in favour of advances. At close advance to decline ratio stood at 402:87.
