Positive global indicators fuelled optimism. The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, rose 1041.08 points, or 1.90%, to 55,925.74, according to provisional closing data. To 16,661.40, the Nifty 50 index rose 308.95 points or 1.89%.

The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index increased by 2.28%, while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index increased by 2.23%. The Dow Jones futures were up 253 points, signalling that the US stock market would open higher today.
Today's Nifty Realty index closed at 403.6, up 4.06%. Over the last month, the index has dropped 9.00%. Sobha Ltd gained 8.91%, DLF Ltd gained 6.87%, and Macrotech Developers Ltd gained 6.09% among the members. In comparison to the 7.94% growth in the benchmark Nifty 50 index over the last year, the Nifty Realty index has increased 22.00%. On the other hand, the Nifty IT index rose 3.88% on the day, while the Nifty Media index rose 3.21%.
