Sum Insured
Sum Insured is the amount of cover provided by the insurance company. |

Recharge of Sum Insured
Under this feature, the policyholder’s entire sum insured is automatically restored back to him upon exhaustion of the limit of the coverage during the policy period. |
If the policyholder’s basic sum insured inclusive of the no-claim bonus is exhausted, he will be automatically provided with the basic sum insured. |
No-claim Bonus
At the end of every claim-free year, the policyholder is entitled to an additional bonus on his sum insured. |
In case of a claim-free year of insurance, the sum insured options Rs. 3 lakh and above, the insured would be entitled to a bonus of 25% of the expiring sum insured in the 2nd year and additional 10% of the expiring sum insured in the 3rd year. |
Organ Donor Cover
The medical expenses for an organ donor's treatment in the event of organ transplantation. |

Any number of claims is allowed during the policy period. However the sum insured is the maximum limit under the policy.
Normally health plans exclude treatment of any pre existing disease / condition. At Star the treatment of any such pre existing disease/ condition is covered after 48 months of continuous renewals with Star.
A medical checkup is necessary for a new health insurance policy for customers above the age of 50 years. Medical checkup is not required only for Senior citizen policy offered to people between 60 years to 69 years.
No, Normally Health policies cover only expenses incurred as Inpatient. But Star Health Gain Policy also covers reimbursement of expenses incurred as Outpatient subject to terms and conditions of the policy.
Children are not covered individually in the policies but can be covered with either of the parent.
