Sum Insured

Sum Insured is the amount of cover provided by the insurance company.
The plan provides a cover of Rs. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 lakhs.
In-patient hospitalisation

This covers hospitalisation expenses due to an illness or accident.
The plan covers in-patient hospitalization up to Sum Insured

It covers the medical expenses due to an illness before the insured is hospitalized.
The plan covers pre-hospitalization expenses of up to 30 days.

It covers the medical expenses due to an illness after the insured is discharged from hospitalization.
The plan covers post-hospitalization expenses up to a specified limit in lump sum amount
Room Rent

Room rent specifies the sub-limit on room rent charges you can avail in case of hospitalization.
Room rent up to 2% of sum insured; subject to a maximum of Rs. 4000/- per day in Class A cities; 1% of sum insured subject to a maximum of Rs. 3000/- per day in Class B cities; 1% of sum insured subject to a maximum of Rs. 1000/- per day in other locations.

Other Features

Day Care Treatments

These are treatments that don’t require a 24-hr hospitalisation and conducted in a hospital or day-care center.
This plan covers the expenses of specified day care treatments up to Sum Insured.
Ambulance Cover

In case of an emergency, the ambulance charges are covered by the insurance company.
This plan covers ambulance charges up to Rs. 750/- per hospitalization and overall policy limit of Rs. 1500/-.
Tax Benefit

Customer can avail tax benefit for this insurance
Amount paid by any mode other than cash for this insurance is eligible for relief under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act.
No-claim Bonus

If the policyholder does not make any claim during the year, he is entitled to a bonus in addition to his sum insured.
A no claim discount of 10% on claim free year is allowable on renewal of premium. This is the maximum discount and it is not cumulative.
Out Patient Department expenses

These are the expenses which includes doctor’s consultation fees, health check ups, pharmacy bills, dental treatment, diagnostics tests, etc.
The policy provides for payment out patient up to specified limit. It can be carried forward for immediately succeeding one year only. Any unutilized amount will automatically lapsed.
