One of the best tools used by technical analysts to plan their exit is death crossover. In this article, we would be listing top midcap stocks witnessing death crossover.

After the great run from March 28, 2022, Nifty 50 cooled off as Nifty 50 April futures shrugged around 80.7 points or 0.45% on Tuesday, to settle at 18,017.50. Moreover, it faced a price rejection with considerable volume from the downward sloping trendline connecting the highs of October 2021 and January 2021.

Today, Nifty 50 April futures witnessed a gap down opening making a high of 17,947.70 and a low of 17,850.55. At the time of writing April futures of Nifty 50 were trading at 17,893.50. All the eyes would be glued to the outcome of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) monetary policy that is slated from March 6 to March 8, 2022. Furthermore, the merger of HDFC Bank and HDFC might affect mutual funds. This is because mutual funds cannot hold more than 10 per cent in an individual stock. Therefore, those funds having an allocation of more than 10 per cent in HDFC Bank post-merger, then they might need some to adhere to the mandate.

The major support zone for Nifty 50 is placed between 15,500 to 17,750, while its resistance zone ranges from 18,000 to 18,200 levels. Breaching these levels on either side would further decide the direction of the market. But as of now, Nifty 50 has made a lower high showing a negative bias.

Therefore, this is the right time to review your portfolio and exit the losing trades, while holding on to your winning trades. There are various methods to do so and one such is death crossover. Those traders who follow the moving average closely use 50 Day Moving Average (DMA) and 200 DMA crossovers to review their stocks. If the stock’s 50 DMA crosses its 200 DMA from beneath, then it is known as the golden crossover and if it is vice versa then it is known as the death crossover.

In this post, we would be listing top mid-cap stocks that are witnessing death crossover.
