Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on April 07

At 12.15 pm on Thursday, the core equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading lower amidst weaker global cues and the upcoming RBI Monetary Policy Committee meeting on April 8, 2022.

The Sensex was trading at 59,427.49, down by 182.92 points or 0.31% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,767.00, down by 40. 65 points or 0.23%.

The top five gainers in the Nifty 50 pack are Coal India, NTPC, IOC, Tata Steel, and UPL. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are HDFC Bank, HDFC, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company, and HCL Technologies.

BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 25,340.59 up by 0.0.65%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Bharat Electricals, Adani Power, and NHPC. Each of these scrips gained more than 5%. The top three stocks dragging the index were Supreme Industries, JSW Energy, and Container Corporation of India.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at, 29,864.93, up by 0.57%. The top three gainers are Shree Renuka Sugars, BLS International, and 3i Infotech. Each of these stocks gained more than 15%. The top three stocks pulling the index down are Escorts, IDFC, and Kuantum Papers.

On the sectoral front, BSE Power, BSE Utilities, BSE Realty, and BSE PSU were trading higher, whereas BSE IT, Metal, and Consumer Durables were dragging the broader indices lower.
