Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on May 31

Indian equity market is trading downwards today, owing to negative global cues.
Federal Reserve’s Governor Christopher Waller said on Monday, at the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability in Frankfurt, Germany, "If inflation doesn't go away, interest rate is going a lot higher. We are not going to sit there and wait six months. I am advocating 50 on the table every meeting until we see substantial reductions in inflation. Until we get that, I don't see the point of stopping."

On the other side, shares in Asian markets were trading lower as investors were concerned about the market reaction to the release of official Chinese factory activity data for the month of May. Most of the Asian stocks fell amid weak global cues and German inflation fears.
SGX Nifty also indicated a negative opening with a loss of 46 points. Expectedly, In India, the market strength was poor as 1,931 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 1,136 declined, and 120 shares remained unchanged. Around 206 stocks are locked in the upper circuit, whereas 171 were in their lower circuit.
At 11:00 am, Indian benchmark indicator Sensex was trading at a level of 55,876.26, down by 0.09%. The top gainers of Sensex were Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata Steel and Power Grid Corporation of India. BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 23,198.78, rose by 0.73%. BSE Smallcap index was trading at 26,456.47, advanced by 1.01%. The Nifty 50 was trading at 16,654.50, slightly down by 0.04%. The top-performing companies were Mahindra and Mahindra, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Bajaj Auto Ltd.
On the sectoral front, most of the sectoral indices were trading in the red territory with BSE Consumer durables, BSE Utilities and BSE Power being the most affected sectors. Sectors performing well despite of weak market sentiments were BSE Realty and BSE Auto.
