Low price stocks: These scrips are locked in the upper circuit on April 13

At 11.30 am on Wednesday, the core equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher due positive outcome of the inflation data released by the US government.

The Sensex was trading at 58,575.94 down by 17.35 points or 0.03% and the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,542.20, up by 11.90 points or 0.07%.

The top five gainers in Nifty 50 pack are ONGC, Coal India, UPL, Apollo Hospital, and NTPC. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Asian Paints, Titan Company, Power Grid Corporation, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, and HDFC.

BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 25,106.19 up by 0.27%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Indian Hotels Company, Indraprastha Gas, NHPC. Each of these scrips gained more than 3%. The top three stocks dragging the index were JSW Energy, Adani Power, and PI Industries.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at, 29,647.29, up by 0.70%. The top three gainers are Vakrangee, Gandhi Special Tubes, and Navkar Corporation. Each of these stocks gained more than 15%. The top three stocks pulling the index down are Mrs Bectors Food Specialities, Hathway Cable, and Tata Teleservices.

Most of the sectoral indices were trading in the green, with  BSE Energy, Metal, and Oil & Gas were more bullish whereas BSE Auto and BSE Consumer Durables dragged.
