Penny Stock Update: These shares gained up to 20% on Thursday
On Thursday, the Indian equity market closed on a positive note. BSE Utilities index was the top gainer and closed up by 2.21%.
Today is the second day in the row where the Indian equity market has closed on a positive note. In today’s trade, all sectoral indices closed in green.
Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed in green, up by 234.75 points i.e., 1.37% and 776.50 points i.e, 1.35%, respectively. Stocks supporting the rise of BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 index were Bajaj Finance, Infosys Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd and HDFC Ltd. Whereas, stocks that dragged the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were ICICI Bank Ltd and Axis Bank Ltd. Today the BSE Sensex opened up by 0.17% and the Nifty 50 index down by 0.09% from their previous close.
In Thursday's trading session the S&P BSE Utilities, S&P BSE Power, S&P BSE Information Technology, S&P BSE Oil & Gas and S&P BSE CPSE were the top gainers. BSE Utilities index consisting of stocks such as Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, JSW Energy Ltd, RattanIndia Power Ltd, Adani Transmission Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd were the top gainers.
