The frontline equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were up by almost 0.46%, regaining levels from yesterday’s fall. The Sensex was at 59,868, up by 263 points and the Nifty was up by 86.15 points at 17,832 levels, respectively.

The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were ONGC, Grasim India, Wipro, ICICI Bank, and SBI. The top five stocks pulling down the index included Bajaj Finance, HDFC, Bajaj Finserv, Cipla, and Eicher Motors.
BSE Midcap index is trading at 25,170.97, down by 0.70%. The top three gainers of the index include Oil India, Jubilant Foodworks, and IRCTC. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. The top three stocks dragging the index include GMR Infrastructure, Max Financial Services, and Bajaj Holdings.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,777.90, down by 0.41%. The top three gainers are Share India Securities, KPIT Technologies, and Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers. Each of these stocks gained more than 12%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Hinduja Global Solutions, Zee Learn, and Mirza International.
Owing to the surge on the bourses, all the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in the green, with BSE PSU BSE Private Bank, BSE Oil and Gas, and BSE Energy was up by more than 1%.
