The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were Tata Consumer Products, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Larsen and Toubro, UltraTech Cement, and Adani Ports. Whereas, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Axis Bank, HCL Technologies, Asian paints, United Phosphorous Limited (UPL), and HDFC Ltd.
BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 26,065.15, up by 0.15%. The top three gainers of the index include Tata Consumer Products, RBL Bank, and IRCTC. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. The top three stocks dragging the index include AU Small Finance Bank, Union Bank, and IDBI Bank.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 30,883.39, up by 0.28%. The top three gainers are Dollar industries, Gujarat Minerals, and Deepak Fertilizers. Each of these stocks gained more than 7%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Rajratan Global Wire, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), and Hexa Tradex.
Almost all the sectoral indices on the BSE were showing a bearish trend, with only BSE Capital Goods trading in the green and was up by 0.85%.
