The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were Coal India, Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, TCS, and Bajaj Finserv. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index included Cipla, Divis Laboratories, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Hindalco, and Titan Company.
BSE Midcap index is trading at 25,175, up by 0.82%. The top three gainers of the index include Rajesh Exports, Oberoi Realty, and Ashok Leyland. Each of these scrips was up by more than 3%. The top three stocks dragging the index include Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Balkrishna Industries, and Bajaj Holdings.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,784, up by 1.11%. The top three gainers are Black Box, Swelect Energy, and UCAL Fuel Systems. Each of these stocks gained more than 16%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Surya Roshni, Apollo Tricoat Tubes, and Dhanuka Agritech.
Among the sectoral indices on BSE, only BSE Healthcare was trading in the red. Rest all of the sectoral indices were up by 1%.
