These low-priced stocks made a 52-week high on Thursday!

The frontline equity indices i.e, Sensex and Nifty 50 plunged to more than 1% in the morning trade. The Sensex is trading at 56,644, down by 1214.15 points and the Nifty was down by 354.80 points at 16,923.15 levels, respectively.

The top gainers of Nifty 50 were Axis Bank, ONGC, Cipla, and IOC. Whereas, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Titan Company, HCL Technologies, Eicher Motors, Wipro, and HDFC Bank.

BSE Midcap index is trading at a level of 23,703.49 down by 2.10%. The top three gainers of the index include BHEL, Shriram Transport, and RBL Bank. Each of these scrips was up by more than 3%. The top three stocks dragging the index include Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Jubilant Foodworks, and Apollo Hospital.

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 28,529.05, down by 1.18%. The top three gainers are TV18 Broadcast (up by 20%), Thyrocare Technologies, and Den Networks. Each of these stocks gained more than 10%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Indiamart Intermesh, Finolex Industries, and Apollo Pipes.

All the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in the red, with BSE IT, BSE Consumer Durables, and BSE Realty trading at a discount of more than 3%.

The monetary policy announced by the Federal Reserve on January 26, has spooked the investors all the more which has led to an increase in the FIIs as well.
