The frontline equity indices i.e, Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat since the last trading session. The Sensex was at 60,528, up by 132 points and the Nifty was up by 28 points at 18,031, levels, respectively.

The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were HCL Technologies, HDFC Ltd, NTPC, Divis Laboratories, and Tech Mahindra. Whereas, the top five stocks pulling down the index included JSE Steel, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, Asian Paints, and Adani Ports.
BSE Midcap index is trading at 25,692, up by 0.17%. The top three gainers of the index include AU Small Finance Bank, Aditya Birla Capital, and Supreme Industries. Each of these scrips was up by more than 3%. The top three stocks dragging the index include Vodafone Idea, Steel Authority of India (SAIL), and Jindal Steel.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 30,517, up by 0.42%. The top three gainers are India Nippon Electricals, Jindal Drilling and Industries, and Ajmera Realty. Each of these stocks gained more than 10%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include BGR Energy, GTL Infrastructure, and Hindustan Construction Company.
On the sectoral front, all the indices on the BSE are trading flat with only BSE Metal (down by 1.28%), and BSE Telecom showing a bearish trend.
