Nifty IT index is trading in the green territory with gains of 0.60%.
On Friday, at 11:44 AM Indian equity markets are trading in the red territory. Frontline equity benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex are down by 0.75% and 0.67%, trading at 16,944.50 and 56,928.47, respectively. SBI Life Insurance, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and ITC are top gainers of Nifty 50. While top losers of the index include Grasim Industries, NTPC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Adani Ports and Axis Bank.
Nifty Bank index is underperforming broader markets and is down by 1.40% i.e. 492.90 points, trading at 34,701.85. Top losers of the index comprise Punjab National Bank, RBL Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank and Federal Bank.
Nifty Midcap 100 index has slipped 1.12% and is trading at 29,593.80. Ajanta Pharma, Godrej Agrovet, Dixon Technologies and Balkrishna Industries are the top gainers of the index. L&T Finance, M&M Financial Services, Shriram Transport Finance, Union Bank, Canara Bank and Bharat Electronics are among the top losers.
Nifty Smallcap 100 index is relatively outperforming broader markets, with losses of only 0.51%. Vakrangee, Alok Industries, Firstsource Solutions, Radico Khaitan, Sonata Software and JK Lakshmi Cement are the top gainers of the index. While IDFC, PNB Housing Finance, Amber Enterprises, Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals, India Cements, Shilpa Medicare and Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) are amidst the top losers today.
Nifty Oil and Gas index has plunged 8.26%. Adani Total Gas, GAIL, ONGC and IOC are top losers, dragging the index. Nifty IT index is trading in the green territory with gains of 0.60%.
