These stocks are witnessing a strong price volume breakout

On Wednesday, Nifty 50 began flat on the back of lacklustre global trends. In this post, we have highlighted top stocks experiencing a strong price volume breakout.

Nifty 50 began unchanged on Wednesday at 18,074.3, compared to its previous closing of 18,053.3. This occurred in the context of weak global trends. Leading Wall Street indices finished down as a result of results from two major banks and Chinese data indicating a slowdown in economic development.

In overnight trade, Nasdaq Composite rose 0.14%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 fell 1.14% and 0.2%, respectively. The benchmark 10-year Treasury note yielded 3.53%, up from 3.51% on Friday. Asian indices fell on Wednesday, mirroring the overnight activity on Wall Street. Except for Japan's Nikkei 225 index, all other Asian peers were trading in the negative.

Nifty 50 was trading at 18,110.4 at 10:30 a.m., up 57.1 points or 0.32%. When compared to frontline indices, broader market indices performed mixed. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index climbed by 0.22%, while Nifty Small-Cap 100 index rose by 0.32%. 

On the BSE, the advance-decline ratio was positive, with 1910 stocks rising, 1236 falling, and 183 staying unchanged. Apart from realty, PSU banks and auto, all other sectors traded in the green.

FIIs and DIIs were net purchasers as of January 17, according to statistics. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) purchased shares worth Rs 211.06 crore. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) invested Rs 90.81 crore in shares.
