Bata India, KNR Constructions, and Maruti Suzuki India have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first and the last hour of each trading session is the most important and active in terms of price and volume. More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of trade along with price rise it is said to be the pro and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short-medium term.

So, based on this principle we have shortlisted three stocks, which have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of trade along with price rise.

Bata India: The stock rose about 3.67% on Wednesday’s trading session. About 1.5% of the gains came in the last 75 minutes where huge volumes were recorded. More than 60% of the total daily volume was recorded during this period.  The stock traded firmly in green throughout the day and with the kind of momentum and volume it has showed today, it is expected that the stock should continue the momentum for upcoming days.

KNR Constructions:  The stock surged more than 5% on Wednesday. Out of this, 4% of the rally came in the last hour itself. Not only this, but it recorded about 80% of the day’s volume during this period. It clearly indicates institutional activity in the stock. With such active trading taking place, one can experience significant price action in this stock.

Maruti Suzuki India: The stock gained over 3% on Wednesday. The stock has made a double bottom and looks for reversal. The stock has gained strength evident from its price action. This price action is accompanied by bigger volumes. Majority of the trades took place in the last hour as the stock made some volatile moves.  Increasing volumes will help push the stock further higher and closing above its 20-DMA will mean short-term bullishness. After today’s rising volume, one can expect the stock to climb further.
