Adani Power, Bank of Baroda, and Crompton Greaves have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

Adani Power: The stock opened with a huge gap-up and traded in a range bound manner. In the end, the stock soared about 4.15%. However, the stock made some volatile moves towards the end and swung in both directions. About 50% of the total day’s volume was concentrated at this period. It has also recorded more-than-average volume since the past few days, and it is expected that the stock will be heavily traded in times to come.

Bank of Baroda:  The stock surged about 2.77% on Wednesday. It traded positive for the entire day as volumes continued to build up. In the end, the stock was actively traded and above average volumes were witnessed in the last 75 minutes. The stock has recorded rising volume for the fourth straight day, indicating larger participation in the stock. Thus, we expect the stock to be traded aggressively with a positive bias in coming days.

Crompton Greaves: The stock rose steadily throughout the day. Strong price action was accompanied by rising volumes. In the end, the stock is over 7% up and volume has been recorded aver 30-day and50-day average volume. Nearly 60% of today’s volume was recorded in the last 75 minutes which suggests institutional buying. Thus, the stock shall be in focus for upcoming days.
