Ambuja Cements, Ashok Leyland, and Avanti Feeds have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

Ambuja Cements: The stock surged about 4.04% despite weakness in the market. It traded flat to negative for most of the day but witnessed strong buying interest towards the end. In the last one hour, the stock surged about 5% and recorded above average volumes. Thus, the stock is likely to be traded heavily with positive bias in times to come.

Ashok Leyland: The stock gained about 0.95% on Thursday. Initially, it experienced a selling pressure but recovered towards the end. In the last 75 minutes of the trade, it gained about 1.70% and closed at a day’s high. Moreover, volume recorded was above average and greater than the 10-day and 30-day average volume. Thus, the stock is likely to be under trader’s trader for the upcoming days.

Avanti Feeds: The stock skyrocketed by a massive 13.22%. It traded negatively for the entire day but received strong buying interest towards the end. The buying was so huge, that the stock shot up nearly 22% in the last 75 minutes. This can be attributed to institutional buying and with such a huge volume trading, the stock shall be in focus for upcoming days.
