List of top 5 gainers and losers in the Midcap and Smallcap segment for the week from May 19 to May 25, 2023.

The frontline index S&P BSE Sensex gained 0.23% or 142.94 points during the week and closed at 61,872.62 on May 25, 2023.

The positive rally was broad based during the week with S&P BSE Mid Cap gaining 1.65% at

26,584.54. The S&P BSE Small Cap ended at 30,014.82 gaining 0.90%.

Shares of this consumer durables manufacturer rose by 18.6% for the week from the levels of Rs 3034.5 to Rs 3599. The stock rallied on the back of a strong financial performance of the company for the quarter ended March 31, 2023, with a 28% rise in net profit.

The losers of small cap space were led by GE T&D India Ltd. The shares of this power transmission company fell from Rs 234.2 to Rs 187.65 registering a loss of 19.88% in the stock price. The company reported a loss of Rs 15.35 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2023.
