Today, the stock opened at Rs 324 and has touched a high and low of Rs 336.50 and Rs 322.35, respectively.

On Tuesday, the shares of Vedanta closed at Rs 332.60, up by 10.75 points or 3.34% from its previous closing of Rs 321.85 on the BSE.

Vedanta Aluminium, a Vedanta subsidiary, has been promoted to second place in the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) world rankings for the aluminium industry for the period FY 21-22. This places Vedanta Aluminium as the world's second most sustainable aluminium producer.

The company moved up two spots from the previous 4th rank globally, in the FY 20-21 assessment. Vedanta Aluminium scored high on most aspects of Environment, Social and Governance criteria, including Cybersecurity, Environment Reporting, Environmental Policy & Management Systems, Labor Practice Indicators, Human Capital Development, Talent Attraction & Retention, Customer Relationship Management, and Social Impact on Communities.

Vedanta Ltd is a diversified natural resource group engaged in exploring, extracting and processing minerals and oil & gas. The group engages in the exploration, production and sale of zinc, lead, silver, copper, aluminium, iron ore and oil & gas. It has a presence across India, South Africa, Namibia, Ireland, Liberia & UAE.

Its other businesses include commercial power generation, steel manufacturing & port operations in India and manufacturing of glass substrates in South Korea and Taiwan.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value of Rs 1 has a 52-week high and low of Rs 440.75 and Rs 206.10, respectively.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 336.50 and Rs 313.55, respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1,23,633.96 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.69%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.01% and 11.31% respectively.
