Watch out for these price-volume breakout stocks
Indian equity market is trading upwards today with gains witnessed in the IT and Teck sector.
Overnight, the Wall Street indices rallied amid positive global cues. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.76% and S&P 500 climbed 2.47%. Along similar lines, Nasdaq also surged 3.33%. Considering Asian markets, all the major benchmark indices were trading upwards amid growth in most of the Asian shares. Japan’s headline indicator Nikkei 225, Taiwan’s Taiwan TSEC 50 Index, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were trading in the green territory with a gain of 2% each.
SGX Nifty also indicated a positive opening with a gain of 121 points. Expectedly, Indian headline indicator BSE Sensex advanced 1.88% and was at a level of 55,915.85. The top gaining stocks on Sensex were Mahindra and Mahindra, Infosys Ltd and Titan Company Ltd. The Nifty 50 index was trading at 16,656.00 points, up by 1.86%. The top shares trading in green were Mahindra and Mahindra, Titan Company Ltd and Infosys Ltd.
On the sectoral front, all of the indices were trading in green with BSE IT being the top performing sector. Cerebra Intergrated Technologies Ltd, Affle India Ltd and Datamatics Global Services Ltd were the best performers with a gain of nearly 8-10% each.
