Exide Industries invests Rs 40 cr in advanced chemistry battery cells

Exide Industries Ltd. has made further investments of around Rs 40 crore in Exide Energy Solutions Ltd., its fully-owned subsidiary that produces advanced chemistry battery cells.

RBI bars JM Financial Products from share and bond funding

Due to regulatory infractions and governance shortcomings, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) prohibited JM Financial Products Ltd from engaging in any kind of share and bond financing activity. 

Power company NTPC has awarded a contract to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) for the construction of the 1,600 MW Singrauli thermal power plant (Stage-II). The order value, exclusive of GST (goods and services tax), exceeds Rs 9,500 crore.
