The company recovered a part amount of Rs 907.14 lakh against these provided balances and recorded it as an exceptional item in Q4FY26.</li><li _ngcontent-ng-c1940132427=""><strong _ngcontent-ng-c1940132427="">ESOP Grant:</strong> During the quarter Q1FY27, the company granted 3,95,400 employee stock options at an exercise price of Rs 83.67 per option.</li></ul><p><strong>Prashant Nagre, Managing Director, said:</strong> “This was a quarter of building rather than harvesting. The year-on-year arithmetic sits against an exceptionally strong April–June 2025 base and does not describe the direction of the business. Human nutrition volumes rose 18% over the preceding quarter, India moved to 47% of consolidated revenue from 35% a year ago, and every business other than animal nutrition grew.</p><p>Other APIs and Intermediates grew 18% year-on-year. Green Chemistry Solutions and Enzymes 15%, and the Others line within nutrition 28%. These are smaller businesses today, but they are growing on their own customer wins. Animal nutrition remains the soft spot, with realisations down 40%, and we have chosen volume discipline over chasing a weak price.</p><p>Two milestones since the quarter closed give us particular confidence. In July, VITADEE Green® received FSSAI approval for use in health supplements, nutraceuticals,food products and food fortification, taking the plant-source Vitamin D3 developed and manufactured in India directly to Indian formulators. And in June, in our 75th year, Fermenta was ranked 7th nationwide among India’s Great Mid-size Workplaces™ 2026.
