Foreign investors remained sellers in Indian equities, dumping more than Rs 62,853 crore of shares in the first fortnight of June amid heightened geopolitical tensions, concerns over global economic growth and persistent weakness in the rupee. With the latest outflows, total withdrawals by Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) from Indian equities have surged to Rs 2.87 lakh crore so far in 2026, surpassing the Rs 1.66 lakh crore pulled out during the entire calendar year 2025, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL). Pabitro Mukherjee, Deputy Vice President-Research at Bajaj Broking, said FPI flows in the coming week will depend on developments in the US-Iran peace talks, the US Federal Open Market Committee's policy decision, the Bank of Japan's rate decision and commentary from major central banks. Financial Services company National Securities Depository announced Q4FY26 & FY26 results Standalone Financial Highlights: Total Income: For Q4FY26, standalone total income stood at Rs 195.4 crore, representing a growth of 1.8% YoY compared to Rs 191.9 crore in Q4FY25, and a sequential decline of 1.6% from Rs 198.7 crore in Q3FY26. For FY26, total income reached Rs 835.1 crore, up 14.2% from Rs 731.4 crore in FY25. Revenue from Operations: Revenue for Q4FY26 was Rs 170.6 crore, an increase of 2.4% YoY from Rs 166.5 crore and 1.0% QoQ from Rs 169.0 crore. Annual revenue for FY26 grew by 13.9% to Rs 704.7 crore compared to Rs 618.6 crore in FY25. Operating Profit: Standalone operating profit for Q4FY26 stood at Rs 78.1 crore, registering a 2.2% YoY growth compared to Rs 76.4 crore, though it declined by 4.8% QoQ from Rs 82.0 crore. For FY26, operating profit was Rs 347.9 crore, a growth of 12.4% over FY25. Profit After Tax (PAT): PAT for Q4FY26 increased to Rs 79.7 crore, showing a growth of 5.2% YoY from Rs 75.8 crore and 2.3% QoQ from Rs 77.9 crore. For FY26, standalone PAT stood at Rs 360.6 crore, an increase of 12.1% from Rs 321.6 crore in the previous year. Earnings Per Share (EPS): Annual standalone EPS for FY26 was Rs 18.03, compared to Rs 16.08 in FY25. Margins: The PAT margin for Q4FY26 stood at 40.8%, up by 129bps compared to Q4FY25. The annual EBITDA margin for FY26 was 60.8%. Business Highlights Demat Account Growth: NSDL added 59.3 lakh gross and 49.4 lakh net accounts in FY26, compared to 55.9 lakh gross and 36.8 lakh net accounts in FY25. Net incremental accounts opened in Q4FY26 stood at 12.0 lakh. Depository Performance: Total Beneficiary Owner (BO) accounts reached 44.4 million as of March 31, 2026. The total Demat custody value market share stood at 86.1%, equivalent to USD 5.0 trillion. Network Expansion: The number of Depository Participants (DPs) increased to 311 as of March 26, with 21 DPs added during FY26 (13 added in Q4FY26 alone). Listed Entity Transition: NSDL successfully transitioned to a listed entity, listing on the BSE on August 6, 2025, through an OFS of Rs 4,010.95 કરોડ.
