It reported an operating loss of Rs 177.38 lakh in Q1FY27.</li></ul></li><li _ngcontent-ng-c1940132427="">The company announced that its 71st Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026.</li></ul><p><strong>Shri Samir Somaiya, CMD, said:</strong> “Q1FY27 marked an important quarter in strengthening Godavari Biorefineries' integrated platform through strategic execution and operational milestones. During the quarter, we successfully commissioned our 200 KLPD grain-based distillery at Sameerwadi, increasing our total ethanol capacity to 800 KLPD and significantly enhancing our feedstock flexibility. This investment strengthens our ability to optimize operations across varying market conditions while creating a more resilient and future-ready ethanol business.</p><p>Our Bio-based Chemicals business delivered another strong quarter, with robust revenue growth, healthy margin expansion and improved profitability, reflecting the benefits of our debottlenecking initiatives and continued focus on higher-value specialty products. During the quarter, we also secured an Indian patent for a cost-effective process to manufacture branched alcohols, reflecting our continued focus on developing efficient and differentiated technologies.</p><p>Further advancing our innovation pipeline, we filed with the CDSCO to initiate preliminary efficacy trials for our lead anti-cancer molecule targeting Triple Negative Breast Cancer, with trials expected to commence from Q3FY27, subject to regulatory approvals. This marks a significant milestone in translating our R&D efforts into potential clinical applications.</p><p>As we look ahead, our strategic priorities remain centered on expanding our high-value Bio-based Chemicals portfolio, strengthening strategic partnerships and commercialising innovation-led products. We are equally focused on enhancing ethanol fungibility to capitalise on India's evolving biofuel landscape, alongside sustained efforts in R&D and product innovation.
