The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited, based in India, is a company that makes and sells fertilizers and petrochemicals. They have two main parts to their business one focuses on fertilizers and the other on petrochemicals.
In their fertilizer segment, they produce various types of fertilizers that help plants grow like complex fertilizers (mixtures of different nutrients), straight fertilizers (with just one nutrient), organic fertilizers (made from natural materials), and bio fertilizers (using helpful bacteria). They also provide other products like gypsum, which is used to improve soil quality.
In the petrochemical segment, they produce materials like caprolactam, which is used in making things like nylon for tires and textiles. They also create by products like ammonia and nitric acid which have various industrial uses.
Aside from manufacturing, they import certain fertilizers and provide services to farmers. Additionally, they are involved in engineering services, helping with the design and construction of industrial equipment. Founded in 1943, their headquarters is in Kochi, India.
