Q4FY26 & FY26 Result Announced for GAIL (India) Ltd.

Non-Electrical company GAIL (India) announced Q4FY26 & FY26 results Revenue from Operations: For Q4 FY26, Revenue from Operations stood at Rs 35,705 crore, compared to Rs 35,303 crore in Q3FY26. Revenue from Operations in FY26 stood at Rs 1,42,094 crore, as against Rs 1,42,290 crore in FY25. EBITDA: EBITDA was Rs 2,703 crore, versus Rs 3,610 crore in the previous quarter. EBITDA stood at Rs 14,524 crore, compared to Rs 20,635 crore in the previous year. PBT: PBT stood at Rs 1,966 crore, compared to Rs 2,165 crore in Q3FY26. PBT was Rs 9,725 crore, as against Rs 16,095 crore in FY25. PAT: PAT (excluding minority interest) stood at Rs 1,485 crore, as against Rs 1,756 crore in Q3FY26. PAT (excluding minority interest) stood at Rs 7,582 crore, as compared to Rs 12,450 crore in the previous year. Dividend: The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per equity share (face value Rs 10 per share) for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM. This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 5.00 per share, taking the total dividend payout ratio for the year to 51.90%. Gail India Ltd. is one of the biggest names when it comes to the natural gas industry. The company is working on tons of different projects in the field of natural gas, transmission, LPG production etc. The company is proudly operating the most advanced and well-optimized network of natural gas pipelines which is spread all over the country and has a total length of 14,488 km.

The full form of GAIL is the Gas Authority of India Limited, and it is one of the biggest government-owned and run natural gas processors and distributors in India. The company headquarter is located in GAIL Bhawan, which is present in the capital of India, Delhi. The working of the company is being quite closely seen by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The  GAIL was incorporated in August 1984. 

At the start, the company was taken as the Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) in the hands of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG). In its former years, the company was called Gas Authority of India Limited, and it was number one in transmitting gas all over India and marketed its benefits as well.

The company was initially tasked with the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Hazira-Vijaypur-Jagdishpur (HVJ) pipeline project. It was one of the largest cross-country natural gas pipeline projects in the world. Originally constructed at a cost of Rs 1700 crores, this 1800 km long pipeline laid the groundwork for the development of India's natural gas market.


Post the completion of project,  GAIL received approval in November 1988 for a Rs. 300 crore investment in the establishment of an LPG extraction plant in Vijaipur. The unit, which would run on HVJ gas, would have a capacity of over 400,000 TPA and would be built in two phases of 200,000 TPA each.

The Phase I of the Vijaipur LPG plant was completed eight months ahead of schedule in 1990-91. Following that, in November/December 1991, Phase-II at Vijaipur was completed and commissioned in February 1992.

From the year 1991 to 1993, the company constructed three LPG plants in India in addition to acquiring regional pipeline companies as well that helped in transporting natural gases in different parts of India.
