    About Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals

    GSFC is public sector organization that was founded in 1962 & is supported by Gujarat government (GoG). GoG holds 37.84% of company's paid-up capital through its subsidiary, Gujarat State Investment Ltd (GSIL). GoG appoints company's managing director & chairman.

    With integrated manufacturing facilities that allow it to take advantage of synergies by producing wide range of industrial products & fertilizers, GSFC works in two segments: (i) fertilizers & (ii) industrial products. remaining of 30–40% of TOI is contributed by industrial products, with fertilizers accounting for 60–70% of total. Among other industrial goods, GSFC produces polymers, nylon-6, melamine, caprolactam, MEK oxime, & fertilizers like DAP, AS, APS, & urea.
    Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. is public sector enterprise that was founded in 1962 & is supported by Gujarati government. It produces range of industrial goods, including plastics, synthetic rubber, & man-made fibers, in addition to fertilizers. In value chain involving Nylon 6 virgin polymer, Carpolactam, & its components, GSFC leads industry. Nylon 6 compounds find application in wide range of fields, including consumer durables & automotives. Sectors of Business:

    1. Fertilizer products (78%): include NPK, traded fertilizer products, urea, ammonium sulfate, di-ammonium phosphate, & ammonium phosphate sulfate.

    2. Industrial items (22%): these include traded industrial products, melamine, methanol, nylon chips, caprolactam, & nylon-6.

    Production Facilities: Vadodara, Surat, & Jamnagar are home to Co.'s four production facilities.
