About GTL Infrastructure
Having been incorporated in 2004, GTL Infrastructure is an Indian company that offers shared passive telecom infrastructure Co. is in the business of building, owning, running, & maintaining passive telecom infrastructure sites that can house active network components of multiple telecom operators as well as energy management solutions. These technologies include 2G, 3G, 4G, IoT, & Enterprise Wireless Network. As of March 31, 2022, Company owned about 25,700 towers, of which over 11,000 were inhabited by 23,475 radiating tenants, with a tenancy ratio of 2.1 on occupied buildings. telecom operators can redirect their cash toward core activities by converting their CAPEX to set & predictable OPEX thanks to the company's infrastructure sharing business model.
Long-term (5–10–15 years) contracts with wireless telecom operators provide the company's revenues. At the end of the period, contracts can be renewed at Telecom Operators' discretion.
Services Provided - GTL Infrastructure
a) Infrastructure Sharing: company provides space in shelters & ideal tower heights for telecom operators to put their active equipment at its locations.
b) Energy Management: Co. charges its clients set price for continuous power delivery on towers. Utilizing technology & expertise, it leverages energy sources & storage solutions & collaborates with clients to install clean energy solutions & manage demand. company had intended to spend about 100 crores in FY 21–22 on revenue protection & network enhancement. In addition, company requires following CAPEX investment, pending lender approval:
1. About 225 cr will be spent on replacing capital equipment for out-of-service equipment in order to protect income.
2. About 82 cr will be spent on network upgrades & capacity expansion to support anticipated 5G technology tenancies that have been plotted as of yet.
