One of India's top hospitality firms, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), was founded in 1902 by illustrious Tata Group founder, Jamshetji N. Tata. As of September 30, 2023, IHCL & its subsidiaries operated 192 hotels with 22,465 rooms.
Additionally, a collection of more than 82 hotels with 11,062 rooms—including 27 Ginger Hotels, 21 Vivanta, 13 Selections, & 21 Taj Hotels—are in the planning stage. the hotel portfolio of IHCL is divided into three segments: lean luxury/midscale (Ginger, 24%), upmarket/upper upscale (Vivant & Seleqtions, 28%), & luxury (Taj, 47 percent of inventory). IHCL operates in more than 100 cities, 12 countries, & four continents.

Additionally, portfolios of Taj (26 hotels with 4611 rooms), Vivant (27 hotels with 3,797 rooms), SeleQtions (13 hotels with 1,518 rooms), & Ginger (26 hotels with 3,027 rooms) will all be expanded by 92 hotels with 12,953 rooms that are in pipeline.
Twenty hotels totaling 650 rooms were opened by company in Q4FY24: three SeleQtions (256 rooms), one Vivant hotel (48 rooms) under management contracts, two Ginger hotels (155 rooms) under ownership, & fourteen Tree of Life resorts (191 rooms) under sales & distribution agreements. In FY24, the company signed 53 hotels & opened 34.
