Consolidated Revenue from Operations for Q1FY27 stood at ~Rs 2,725 crore, registering a robust 76% year-on-year growth. EBITDA increased to ~Rs 110 crore, while Profit After Tax stood at ~Rs 69 crore, reflecting healthy year-on-year growth of 22% and 23%, respectively. While margins moderated during the quarter owing to the evolving product mix and the initial ramp-up of our value-added copper business, we believe these investments will strengthen our earnings profile and support sustainable margin expansion as utilization levels improve.

Our strategic focus on copper continues to deliver encouraging results, with copper and copper products contributing ~67% of consolidated revenue during the quarter. Strong growth in copper volumes, coupled with the initial contribution from value-added products, underscores the success of our forward integration strategy. At the same time, our lead business continued to deliver stable profitability, supported by our diversified product portfolio, disciplined sourcing capabilities and long-standing customer relationships.

On the execution front, we achieved a significant milestone with the successful commissioning of the entire Copper Anode production line, with both furnaces now operational. This marks an important step in our journey towards becoming a fully integrated player across the copper value chain. The Copper Cathode project remains on track for commissioning in Q2FY27, while the Copper Wire Rod and Copper Busbar projects are progressing as planned and are expected to be commissioned during Q3FY27. These projects will significantly expand our value-added product portfolio, enhance customer integration and strengthen our competitive positioning in the non-ferrous recycling industry.

Our diversification initiatives are also progressing well. The Antimony project remains on schedule for commissioning in Q3FY27, expanding our presence in specialty metals. Our Ahmedabad joint venture with C&Y Group started its trial production and is expected to streamline its operations by Q2FY27, strengthening our copper recycling ecosystem and processing capabilities. We are also advancing the development of our dedicated plastic recycling facility, which will improve operational efficiency by decongesting our existing facilities and further reinforce our commitment to the circular economy. Meanwhile, our Kuwait strategic investment continues to progress, with temporary shipment delays arising from the prevailing geopolitical situation in West Asia.

During the quarter, operations at our Unit-II facility were temporarily impacted following a fire incident in one of the manufacturing sheds. We acted swiftly to implement the required corrective actions and strengthen safety measures across the facility. Following detailed inspections and regulatory approvals, manufacturing operations have now resumed across Unit-II, excluding the affected shed, where restoration work and the remaining statutory compliances are progressing as planned. This incident has not altered our long-term growth plans, and we remain firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational excellence and business continuity.

Looking ahead, we remain optimistic about the long-term prospects of the non-ferrous recycling industry, supported by favourable regulatory initiatives, increasing demand for recycled metals and the global transition towards sustainable manufacturing. With multiple value-added projects nearing commercialization, a strong execution pipeline and a robust sourcing network, we are well positioned to capitalize on the next phase of growth while continuing to create sustainable long-term value for our stakeholders."

Result PDF
