    About Motherson Sumi Wiring India

    With a market share of more than 40%, Motherson Sumi Wiring India—a joint venture between Sumitomo Wiring System & Motherson Group—leads the Indian wiring harness market. After Samvardhana Motherson International Limited underwent reorganization, the automobile wiring harness business for Indian OEMs was separated from the parent company & reorganized into Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited (MSWIL) in FY22.

    As joint venture, MSWIL & Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd., world leader in production of electric wires, harness components, & wiring harnesses, are involved.Wiring harnesses are only product line from which MSWIL makes money.FY23 New Product Launches: Across PV, CV, & 2W categories, MSWIL introduced 23 new products & 17 facelifts in India during FY23.

    Facilities: As of FY23, the company has 26 wiring harness plants, 2 new plants in Noida & 1 new factory in Chennai, presence in important automotive clusters, & strategically placed facilities close to OEM locations, indicating strong Pan-India footprint.

    Capex: In order to improve capacity, MSWIL invested over ₹ 198 crore in FY23.
    Customer base: As of FY23, MSWIL supplied ten of twelve best-selling passenger car models in India. Additionally, it supplies two of India's top five 2W electric vehicle OEMs as well as two of country's top three PV electric vehicle OEMs. top 10 clients account for roughly 70%–75% of total sales.
