Domestic Mutual Funds Account for Majority of Anchor Book

Twenty domestic mutual funds received an allocation of ₹449.61 crore in Bonfiglioli Transmissions' anchor investor round, ahead of the company's initial public offering.

The industrial power transmission and drive solutions manufacturer raised ₹759.26 crore from institutional anchor investors on 14 October 2026.

A total of 73 institutional investors participated in the anchor book, subscribing to approximately 1.29 crore equity shares.

Domestic mutual funds, participating through 46 schemes, were allotted 76.72 lakh shares.

The allocation represented approximately 59.2% of the total anchor issue value.

Fund Houses Participating in the Allocation

The domestic mutual fund participants included SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund, Axis Mutual Fund, WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund, Mirae Asset Mutual Fund and Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund.

Other participating fund houses included Franklin India, Edelweiss, Abakkus, JM Financial Mutual Fund and Groww Mutual Fund.

The anchor book also attracted international institutions, including Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Allianz Global Investors and Amundi Funds.

Domestic insurance companies were also among the institutional participants.

The allocation covered several investor categories, reflecting the structure of the pre-IPO institutional placement.

Bonfiglioli IPO Opens on 15 October

The company's public issue opened for subscription on Thursday, 15 October, and will close on Monday, 19 October 2026.

Bonfiglioli Transmissions has set the price band at ₹558–586 per equity share.

At the upper end of the price band, the IPO is expected to raise approximately ₹2,533.8 crore.

The offering comprises an offer for sale of around 4.32 crore equity shares by the company's promoter, Italy-based Bonfiglioli S.p.A.

Because there is no fresh issue component, Bonfiglioli Transmissions will not receive the net proceeds from the IPO.

The proceeds, after applicable offer-related expenses, will accrue to the selling shareholder.

How Anchor Participation Is Reflected in Mutual Fund Portfolios

The ₹449.61 crore domestic mutual fund allocation represents the aggregate subscription across 46 participating schemes.

It does not mean that each scheme received an equal number of shares or had equivalent exposure to the company.

Individual portfolio exposure will depend on the actual allocation received by each scheme and any subsequent transactions.

The transaction is a factual measure of institutional participation ahead of the public offering. It is not an indicator of prospective listing gains or future mutual fund returns.
