Federal-Mogul Goetze shareholders set for ₹94 per share dividend
Federal-Mogul Goetze (India) has fixed 4 September 2026 as the record date for its total dividend payout of ₹94 per share, comprising a special dividend of ₹86.50 and an interim dividend of ₹7.50. Shareholders on the company's books as of the record date will be eligible to receive the dividend.
The stock is trading ex-dividend today, meaning investors purchasing shares on or after the ex-date will not qualify for the payout.
Board approved special and interim dividends
In a filing to stock exchanges, the company said its board approved an interim dividend of ₹7.50 per equity share and a special dividend of ₹86.50 per equity share at its meeting held on 27 August 2026.
The dividends will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the company's register of members or in depository records as beneficial owners on the record date.
Payment scheduled this month
Federal-Mogul Goetze said the interim and special dividends will be paid on or before 25 September 2026, in line with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
First dividend in 25 years
The company is returning cash to shareholders through a dividend for the first time in 25 years, according to dividend history data cited by Mint. The last time the stock traded ex-dividend was on 10 August 2001, when it paid ₹2.50 per share.
While the company undertook rights issues in 2007 and 2008, it has not announced a dividend since 2001, making the latest payout a notable event in its shareholder return history.
Company background
Federal-Mogul Goetze manufactures automotive components and is part of the Tenneco group. The ₹94-per-share payout combines both a special dividend and an interim dividend, representing a significant cash distribution to eligible shareholders.
