How to Apply for Jio Platforms IPO: Lot Table (1–14 Lots) & Shareholder Quota Application
Last Updated: 22nd October 2026 - 11:36 am
The Jio Platforms IPO is open from October 21 to October 23, 2026, at a price band of ₹1,065–₹1,119 per share. The minimum bid is 12 shares, and additional bids must be in multiples of 12. For investors applying at the upper band, one lot requires ₹13,428.
Jio IPO Lot Size and Investment Table
The table uses the upper price band of ₹1,119 per share. Amounts are the application funds to be blocked, not additional charges.
| Lots | Shares | Amount at ₹1,119 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 12 | ₹13,428 |
| 2 | 24 | ₹26,856 |
| 3 | 36 | ₹40,284 |
| 4 | 48 | ₹53,712 |
| 5 | 60 | ₹67,140 |
| 6 | 72 | ₹80,568 |
| 7 | 84 | ₹93,996 |
| 8 | 96 | ₹107,424 |
| 9 | 108 | ₹120,852 |
| 10 | 120 | ₹134,280 |
| 11 | 132 | ₹147,708 |
| 12 | 144 | ₹161,136 |
| 13 | 156 | ₹174,564 |
| 14 | 168 | ₹187,992 |
Fourteen lots equal 168 shares and ₹1,87,992. Fifteen lots would cost ₹2,01,420 at the upper band, exceeding the ₹2 lakh retail application limit. The retail maximum is therefore 14 lots at this price.
How to Submit a Retail Application
Open the IPO section of your bank or authorised trading platform, choose Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) and select the retail category. Enter the number of lots, bid at the cut-off price if eligible, and confirm your PAN, demat details and bank-linked UPI ID or ASBA bank account.
Submit the bid and approve the UPI mandate, where applicable. Under ASBA, the amount is blocked rather than immediately debited. The NSE issue page states that the final UPI mandate approval deadline is 7:00 pm IST on October 23, 2026. Applying earlier reduces the risk of missing this deadline.
Who Can Apply Through the Reliance Shareholder Quota?
The RHP provides a reserved portion worth up to ₹2,500 crore for eligible public shareholders of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). Eligibility is based on holding RIL shares on the RHP filing date, October 14, 2026, and applies to qualifying individuals and Hindu Undivided Families, including shares held in the name of the HUF karta. Buying RIL shares after the eligibility date does not create entitlement to this quota.
Steps to Apply Under the Shareholder Reservation
First, check whether your PAN-linked demat holding met the RIL shareholder eligibility test on October 14. Next, open the Jio Platforms IPO application in your bank or trading interface and select the RIL shareholder reservation category, rather than the ordinary retail category.
Enter the lot quantity and bid price, check that the application does not exceed the shareholder-category limit of ₹2 lakh, and submit the bid. Approve the UPI mandate if using UPI, or complete the bank ASBA process. Keep the application reference number and verify bid status with the intermediary or exchange.
Eligible investors may also consider an application in another permitted category, subject to the prospectus rules on multiple applications and PAN eligibility. Do not submit duplicate bids in the same category; check the RHP and your platform’s instructions before placing more than one bid.
Jio IPO Dates and Important Checks
Bidding runs from October 21–23, 2026. Applications must use ASBA, including eligible UPI-based applications. Ensure sufficient available bank balance for blocking, correct PAN and demat information, and successful mandate acceptance. An application is not an allotment guarantee, including under the shareholder quota.
Conclusion
At the upper band, Jio’s retail application range runs from ₹13,428 for one lot to ₹1,87,992 for 14 lots. The separate RIL shareholder quota offers an additional application route only to investors meeting the October 14 record-date conditions. Choosing the correct category and completing the payment mandate are the most important practical checks.
